Early in my career I had my first opportunity to teach, and I absolutely fell in love with the excitement of the students, their learning, and their energy. Those moments have stayed with me and have shaped my commitment that the student learning experience drives everything we do at Palmer.
With a growing global need for chiropractic care, it’s incumbent upon us as The Trusted Leader in Chiropractic Education® to lead the profession in developing the world’s best chiropractors to serve more people who need our care.
As we look ahead to the next 125 years, we must ask ourselves: what will the world need from us, and how do we continue to adapt the student learning experience to ensure students are ready to go out into the world and serve?
Over the past eight years, Palmer has been blessed with incredible generosity through gifts of all sizes that have allowed us to transform the student learning experience. For example, investment in our clinics has deepened students’ clinical training, while adding the R. Richard Bittner Athletic & Recreation Center has allowed students to not only be healthier but to also understand health at a different level.
The Fountainhead of Chiropractic is the oldest campus in chiropractic, and these investments allow it to also stake claim to being the most innovative and cutting-edge campus in chiropractic. I’m proud that our Board of Trustees, along with the administration, faculty, staff and students have created this unifying effort to bring the Fountainhead back to its glory.
Our donors embody the heart of our new campaign: they are daring and driven to make an impact in the world. Their philanthropic gifts can be the difference between a dream and reality. A scholarship awarded to a student may be the difference between a student completing their degree or not. A gift to Palmer may be the difference between the College being able to implement a planned improvement immediately versus many years down the road. For me, it’s been transformational to see the generosity of our donors and how they’re impacting our students, the College, the profession and future patients.
