New students enrolling at Palmer’s Main or Florida Campuses can now apply for a new scholarship, the Beacon Award. Recipients of the Beacon Award are eligible for $15,000 ($1,500/trimester).
The Beacon Award is a scholarship program for prospective students entering a Doctor of Chiropractic program and is designed to foster diversity within the chiropractic community by providing financial assistance to those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds or underserved populations. The Beacon Award is made possible by the generosity of donors committed to supporting students to overcome social, educational and economic obstacles.
“We have launched this scholarship program to help ensure prospective students have access to Palmer so they have the opportunity to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, no matter what their personal background or financial situation might be,” says Michael Norris, Ph.D., vice chancellor for admissions at Palmer College. “This scholarship can be stacked on top of our merit-based awards, so incoming students can earn up to $30,000 in Palmer scholarships. We’re so thankful to have donors like Dr. George Blackwood who have graciously given to help launch this program.”
The Beacon Award aims to be a guiding light for those dedicated to making a difference. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality chiropractic care, and by supporting the education of passionate individuals, we contribute to building a healthier and more inclusive future.
