If you’re currently enrolled in a D.C. program in another chiropractic college and are considering transferring to Palmer College, please contact an Admissions Counselor before finishing this application.
All Undergraduate Application forms should be on file with the Undergraduate Studies Office at least four weeks prior to the beginning of the desired starting academic term. Students are encouraged to submit their application at least six months prior to their desired term of entry.

Application Deadline
We accept applications for our D.C. program at any time. However, we recommend you submit your application at least one (1) year prior to your desired term. That’s because your start date and financial aid eligibility may be affected by your application submission date.
How to Apply
All applicants must:
- Submit the online application or mail the application to:

Davenport, IA 52803-5287 USA - Pay the $100 non-refundable application fee.
- Submit a one- to two-page typed autobiographical essay explaining why you’re choosing a career in chiropractic and why you want to get your Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
- Submit official transcripts from anywhere college-level courses were taken (send to the Davenport address above).
- Submit two letter-of-recommendation on official letterhead – one from a Doctor of Chiropractic and one from a college faculty member. (This is required for Palmer Florida students and recommended for the Main Campus.)
- Although not required at time of application, applicants will be asked to submit a tuition deposit and complete their background check authorization and Admissions interview prior to acceptance.
International students must also submit:
- National Association letter of approval (if needed)
- TOEFL score or proof of English proficiency
- Certification of finances
- Disclosure statement of any criminal convictions
How to gain provisional acceptance
While you wait for acceptance you may gain provisional acceptance by completing or submitting the following:
- Application fee
- 60 semester units of overall coursework
- A minimum overall GPA of 2.75
- Major declared if seeking degree
- A completed transfer form (if you have attended another chiropractic college)
Autobiography Requirements
The autobiography should be typed and double-spaced (or sent via E-mail to: Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Main Campus in Davenport, Iowa admissions.ia@palmer.edu or Palmer Florida in Port Orange, Fla. admissions.fl@palmer.edu). Include your name and page number on each page of the essay.
Autobiographical essay (two pages maximum)
A two-page, or less, autobiographical essay explaining why you are choosing a career in chiropractic and why you want to get your Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Re-Admission
If you’ve withdrawn from Palmer and are applying for re-admission, requirements vary based on the length of your absence.

Pre-Chiropractic Education
You might be able to save a year’s worth of time and tuition through one of our accelerated pathway programs. Our 3+1 and 2+2 programs offer accelerated, cost-effective ways to meet prerequisite requirements for the Doctor of Chiropractic program. Save a year’s worth of time and tuition by starting your college education at one of our partner schools. Programming is designed specifically for Palmer students.
Bachelor of Science in General Science – Main Campus only
Application Deadline
Applications for the Bachelor of Science in General Science program can be submitted and accepted at any time. However, we recommended you apply a minimum of three (3) months prior to your desired term because your start date and financial aid eligibility may be affected by your submission date.

- Attach official copies of transcripts
(Note: Your admittance is approved by the Undergraduate Program Oversight Committee.)
File Intent to Graduate
- Pay $100 graduation and records fee. Complete the Intent to Graduate form for final approval of the B.S. degree.
- We recommend the Intent to Graduate form be completed no later than the end of ninth trimester of the D.C. program. This will ensure concurrent graduation.
Note: Students are allowed one year after their D.C. graduation to complete all requirements.
