A passion for fitness and health steered 3rd quarter student Blake Ackerman to Palmer College and sunny California weather brought him to Palmer West.
“I’ve always heard good things about Palmer. My personal chiropractor attended Palmer West, but it was Palmer’s evidence-based program that really caught my eye, and I had to have the best education possible.”
When Blake was younger, he was engrossed in sports. He enjoyed playing hockey and basketball and eventually started performing dance. Luckily, he never had any injuries but as he progressed to the men’s league, he suffered some injuries that affected his performance.
“Seeing my chiropractor helped get rid of the little discomforts playing sports brought.” His experience with receiving chiropractic care encouraged him to want to help others. “I am so excited to be able to help others improve their daily lives by building healthy habits and restoring movement.”
Blakes love for helping others is a huge part of why he decided to become a Palmer West campus guide. “I became a campus guide because I know how many decisions there are to make, so many people along with our campus guides helped me make the big move to California. I wanted to be able to help others like myself with their move as well as show people what our campus has to offer and what we get to learn and do every day.”
Blake is also a member of Sports Council and the Pediatrics club.
