Brandon Thomas D.C., CCSP, (West ’14) comes from a family who dedicated their careers to health care.
“My mother was a nurse, my grandfather was an M.D., my uncle is a surgeon, and my sister is a pharmacist.”
Growing up surrounded by health-care professionals, Brandon knew he wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, but he took a slightly different route than them. “I decided to choose my own path, and going into chiropractic made the most sense. I prefer to care for my patients naturally in an effort to avoid drugs or surgery.”
His decision to become a chiropractor led him to Palmer West for a variety of reasons, but his main reason was that “Palmer was the number one school for sports chiropractic, and the Sports Council was a great way to get on-field experience.”
Dr. Thomas served as Sports Council president and was a Campus Guide while attending Palmer West.
Before Dr. Thomas graduated, he had an idea to start a mobile clinic. “I wanted to build a state-of-the-art mobile sports medicine clinic that could go anywhere and everywhere, including sports events, on-site corporate care, and special events.”
That idea was a big win for him. He now owns his own practice, Mobility Clinic, in Santa Cruz, California. Mobility Clinic’s goal is to give their patients the tools to reach their optimal performance level to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. His clinic specializes in chiropractic sports medicine, extremity adjusting, myofascial release, rehab, and functional performance.
“We plan to expand the mobile practice this year and not only treat the Santa Cruz community but expand our reach to all of California with the new mini-mobility clinic. We hope to be on the base of every California mountain, treating skiers and snowboarders next winter.”
His success after Palmer West is indisputable. Dr. Thomas thrives on positive energy and pushing his patients to reach their ultimate potential and it shows. For the fourth year in a row, Dr. Thomas has been voted by the people as the best chiropractor in Santa Cruz County.
