It is always sunny in California, so ditching the snow from her hometown of Canton, Ohio for the sun of San Jose, California was a factor for 13th quarter student Emelia Bracken’s decision to attend Palmer West. Her chiropractor graduated from Palmer’s main campus and encouraged her to look into chiropractic school while she was attending John Carroll University (JCU).
During her time at JCU she earned a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and felt that chiropractic was calling her name.
“I wanted to become a chiropractor because I enjoy helping people continue to participate in the activities they love and help them achieve their goals. Palmer College stood out to me for having a great reputation overall, especially Sports Council.”
Emilia has been involved in many of the student clubs and activities at Palmer West including Sports Council, the Student American Chiropractic Association, and a Campus Guide. She also played for the Volleyball and Soccer clubs.
In her free time, she enjoys “outdoor activities including hiking, biking, workout classes, and boating.”
With three years under her belt and graduation in two weeks, Emelia is looking forward to becoming Dr. Bracken and plans to return home to run her own practice working with athletes and families.
Congratulations Emelia!
