Palmer alumna Susan Welsh was recently recognized by University of South Florida Hospital, USF Health.
Susan Welsh, D.C., DACBSP®, (Main, ’80) has been recognized as the Q1-21 USF Health patient Experience Care Provider Top Performer. This is the first time a chiropractor has earned this recognition.
To earn this recognition, a provider must have received 30 completed patient surveys in a quarter and have the highest overall mean score for the overall provider care domain. Providers are rated on criteria including concern the care provider showed for patient concerns, explanation provided about the problem or condition, the provider’s effort to include the patient in care decisions, discussion of proposed treatment and the likelihood that the patient would recommend the provider to others.
Dr. Welsh currently practices in Florida and has extensive experience caring for Tampa Bay teams such as the NHL’s Lightning, the Buccaneers, the AFL’s Storm, and the MLS’s Mutiny. In 2015, Dr. Welsh joined the clinical faculty at the University of South Florida (USF) in the Department of Neurosurgery and Brain Repair. Although she continues to practice full-time in the USF Morsani Health Center, she also mentors fourth-year medical students, teaching them about chiropractic in an integrative setting.
