Happy Valentine’s Day to all our Palmer sweethearts! Erick Hernandez first noticed Kelsey Arneson at their first trimester new-student mixer event. He continued to run into her at the Bittner Center over the next couple weeks.
Hernandez finally worked up the courage to speak to Arneson by expressing his concern about how well he’d do in their biochemistry class. “That was my way in,” Hernandez exclaimed. “We got together a few days later for volleyball and dinner with a group of tri-mates. We literally could not stop talking to each other the entire night.”
Arneson said it felt like she had known him for a lifetime. “It wasn’t hard to have a conversation with him,” Arneson added. “I remember texting my mom right away afterwards that this really cute boy talked to me.”
More than a year later, the couple credits their relationship for their success in school and life.
“Kelsey is so on top of everything – from studying to planning out our day,” Hernanadez said. “She keeps us on track.”
While Arneson praises Hernandez for helping her learn to ask for help. “Coming to Palmer I had the mentality that I was going to do all of this on my own. I didn’t need anyone to be there for me,” Arneson said. “I quickly realized I needed someone in that ring with me. That’s been Erick.”
After graduation, the couple looks forward to associating for a chiropractic office before opening a practice together.
Hernandez expressed wanting to keep their options open on where they relocate. While Arneson added they definitely want to practice together.
To these Palmer Sweethearts, we wish you both the world of success in chiropractic and, of course, in love!
