Palmer Florida student Samantha Bosack has distinguished herself through a combination of academic excellence, clinical prowess, and a strong commitment to pediatric health.
“The curriculum at Palmer was wonderful and I feel prepared to enter the profession! The professors are unbelievably supportive and there are so many opportunities to get help when you need it. I am so grateful for the opportunities that I had in CLM classes, TOAL, and clinic to improve my adjusting skills. My favorite part was the opportunities that I had to dive deeper into my passions by getting involved in clubs,” she explains.
Originally from Irwin, Pennsylvania, Samantha attended Kent State University where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. “While I was at Kent, I had the really cool opportunity to work in the Cardiovascular Dynamics Laboratory,” Samantha recalls. This experience enhanced her academics and shaped her future career path by instilling an understanding of human physiology and health.
From the moment Samantha began her studies at Palmer, she was drawn to pediatric care. “I can think of no better way to help others than to help support growing families, to help women have a positive pregnancy and a smooth transition into motherhood, and to help children start life with every advantage so that they grow up strong and healthy,” she says.
Samantha applied to be Vice President of the Pediatrics Club as soon as she started at Palmer. This gave her the opportunity to learn, network, and find her passion. “It also kept me focused during the more grueling quarters filled with biochemistry and microbiology. It was my reminder of why I was working so hard,” she adds.
Samantha’s clinical experience at Palmer has been rewarding, providing her with invaluable opportunities to hone her skills in pediatric and perinatal care. She attributes the single biggest contributor to her success at Palmer and future success to her mod doctor, Dr. Clark. “I never could have imagined the impact that she would have on me. I am so incredibly grateful for her guidance. I’ve been given the guidance I need while still having the space to make my own decisions and learn from them. I’ve been able to pursue my passions and grow in my knowledge of pediatrics all while being so supported by my mod doctor. I leave every day feeling empowered and proud of the work that I have done and excited to come back the next day,” she states.
Looking ahead, Samantha plans to stay in Florida, hoping to work in an office centered around pediatric and perinatal care, continuing to support families in their health journeys. In addition to being very prideful of her many accomplishments thus far, including becoming a lactation consultant, getting Webster certified, and getting certified in craniosacral fascial therapy during school, she has also set a goal to finish the Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (DABCI) within one year of graduation.
When not immersed in her studies or clinical duties, Samantha leads group fitness classes at OrangeTheory, where she continues to promote health and wellness. Her limited free time is spent at the beach or with the friends she’s made at Palmer. “I’ve been using my free time to cherish those friendships and spend as much time as possible with the people who have helped shape me into the person I am today,” she reflects.
