Thirty-five years into it, Dr. Sok couldn’t be more pleased with his decision to attend Palmer and become a sports chiropractor. “When I first looked into chiropractic as a career, the average age of a chiropractor in Maryland was 55 years old. I saw that as an opportunity. My desire to help people, especially athletes, was already there but it really grew while at Palmer,” he recalled.

“Athletes are my favorite population to work with and I knew I needed that knowledge to help them come out of their chronic injuries,” she said. “I fell in love with chiropractic care because there is something for everybody! There is so much to learn and so many specialties to pick from which gives every student incredible autonomy."
For the past year, Palmer graduates Drs. Gonzálaz and Mena have been part of the exciting world of CrossFit and sports chiropractic, caring for some of the world’s best athletes.
As a former fitness trainer, Gabby loved helping others become the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves and that opportunity led her to chiropractic, with the encouragement of her parents and her uncle, who is a chiropractor.
