Hailing from Seville, Spain, Javier came to the U.S. on a tennis scholarship to study biology in New York at St. Thomas Aquinas College with intention of going into the health-care field. He considered becoming a physical therapist or a medical doctor but is happy to have landed on becoming a doctor of chiropractic. He loves academia and research and has dreams of working in statistics or public health within his chosen field one day.
We asked our 2020 graduates on the West campus to share one word describing their Palmer College experience and something they're looking forward to after graduation. Congratulations to our Palmer graduates Class of 154!
Emilia has been involved in many of the student clubs and activities at Palmer West including Sports Council, the Student American Chiropractic Association, and a Campus Guide. She also played for the Volleyball and Soccer clubs.
“I enjoyed my job, however, I felt that I had some limitations and I knew that chiropractic would allow me to further my education foundation and expand my knowledge and tool base that I can use to help people.”
Josef Swetz believes Palmer has prepared him for live as a doctor of chiropractic. He'll enter the profession as a third-generation chiropractor and work at his family's clinic in Morton, Washington.
