Palmer College of Chiropractic’s West campus had a prominent presence at the fifth annual Valor Games Far West, a multi-sport Paralympic competition for disabled U.S. veterans and wounded, ill or injured service-members.
Brian DeCesare, a third-quarter student at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s West campus in San Jose, California, was awarded a special $1,000 scholarship from the California Chiropractic Association’s (CCA).
“My educational path has taken me on a few detours for sure (pre-medicine, audio engineering, and paramedicine to name a few), but eventually I found the right fit,” said Dr. Capobianco, who has been training as a bodybuilder since he was 15.
“I am always striving to be 'better than yesterday,' and I encourage others to do the same. Teaching people how to move properly is one of the best gifts a doctor can give their patients, and that’s one of the reasons I enjoy being a chiropractor: I get to help people move better while reducing the risk of injury and improving their overall performance, whether in sports or daily life.”
The American Chiropractic Association recently saluted Dr. Lisi’s distinguished career of service by presenting him with the “Chiropractor of the Year” award, the ACA’s highest honor, during special ceremonies at the annual House of Delegates meeting in Washington, D.C.
